A family's kitchen-table morning: a parent writes the week's plan while one child reads and another holds up a bean plant, and a grandparent arrives with oranges.

For your child

Their Pet

You found it!

Pick a colour
  • Your child names it and picks its colours.
  • It sits beside each game and storybook and says short things. You choose which kinds.
  • It goes quiet while a grown-up is helping, and it never sulks or pleads.
  • Its hats and scarves are earned by finishing activities. Nothing is for sale.
  • You can read what it remembers and erase any of it.

For you

Edora

  • Sets up your first week from a grade and two things your child loves.
  • Shows you around Home when you ask.
  • Looks back on your week in two sentences, with one idea for the next.
  • Suggests, and you decide. Planning and records work without it.
  • Edora never talks to your child.

On their own, side by side, or far away

Every storybook, game and project can be done all three ways. The few games built around a call say which ways they take. Pick the one that fits the day.

  • On their own, with their Pet

Your child reads to their Pet, plays or makes something alone. The Pet notices what they did, asks a question when they are stuck, and cheers the finish. A step that needs a grown-up's hands, like the knife, says so.

  • With a grown-up beside them

A parent, an older sibling or a visiting grandparent at the same table. The Pet goes quiet while a grown-up helps, and the record keeps that they had help.

  • With someone far away, on a call

Grandma in another city or an uncle on a night shift, a helper you invited, on the call your family already makes. In a storybook each of you has the page on your own phone and a tap on the picture shows where to look. In a game or a project your child shows them the screen or the work and taps what you decide together. MyEdora never carries the call.

Toddlers learn new words from a person on a live video call, and not from a recorded video. The research

For learning a language

A second language, through play

The menus stay in your language. A game or a storybook can be in another one, for a single try or for a day you plan, so your child practises a new language while doing something they already like.

  • Each game, project and storybook lists the languages it comes in, and you pick one.
  • The words of the game or the book change, and so do the Pet's. The rest of the page stays in yours.
  • Plan it in that language, and your child plays it that way from their day.

Try a week

Pick your child's grade and up to two things they love. Here is the first week MyEdora would plan, before you make an account.

Your child's grade

People who help

A grandparent who reads a storybook with your child, a tutor for fractions, a small class with other children. Each one sees only what you allow, for the children you choose, and the names on your family tree turn up in the stories and games.

Why it works

Children do better when their family is involved, when a grown-up reads with them and asks questions, and when play has a little guidance. MyEdora is built around those three.

The research behind it

What we promise about your child

Privacy, in plain words

Your child is never public

  • No public profile, no rankings, no leaderboards.
  • A first name and a grade. Never a birth date or a precise location.
  • A link you share never shows your child.

You choose the adults

  • Each helper sees only what you allow, for the children you choose.
  • No adult can open a chat with your child.
  • A class teacher you decline never sees your child.
  • Anything a tutor writes about your child, you can read.

Your child's data stays yours

  • No ads, anywhere in MyEdora.
  • You can read what the Pet remembers, and erase any of it.
  • Nothing about your child is used to train anything.

Questions parents ask

What is MyEdora?
A homeschool and home-learning planner for families with children from Pre-K to Grade 8. You plan the week, your child learns through content and real activities, the people around you can help, and progress is recorded as you go.
Which ages and subjects does it cover?
Children from Pre-K to Grade 8, ages 4 to 14. The activities cover math, science, geography, history, reading and music, and each one has a version for every grade band it suits.
Is it free?
Yes. MyEdora is free for families, with no ads: planning, records, the guides, Edora and the Pet. Later we may offer some premium storybooks and activities. There will be no ads either way.
Do I need to be a teacher to homeschool with it?
No. Every activity says, in plain words, what your child practises, what to listen for and what your part is. Suggestions can help; the parent decides.
Is it all screen time?
No. Many activities happen at the kitchen table, in the garden or on a walk, and a real activity counts as real learning. Each activity says whether it uses a screen.
What is the Pet, and is it safe?
It is a friendly character your child names and colours. It sits beside each game and storybook and says short things: it notices what they did, asks a question when they are stuck, and cheers when they finish. You choose which of those it does, it goes quiet while a grown-up is helping, and you can read and erase anything it remembers. It talks only about learning and your plan, never links anywhere, and never talks to other adults. Where one of its lines is written with an AI model, the model is sent only your child's first name and age band, the Pet's name, the activity and the last few turns, under terms that keep nothing and train nothing; what it remembers never leaves MyEdora.
Can grandparents, tutors or a co-op help?
Yes. Invite a grandparent, a neighbour or a tutor as a helper, for one child or several in the same invitation, or join a class. Each sees only what you allow, and you can take it back.
Does it follow a curriculum?
It helps you understand the expectations for your child's stage and your local requirements. The activities are practice, not an official curriculum, and a finished activity is a record of what happened, not a claim of mastery.
How is my child's data protected?
A child is private by default: a first name and a grade, never a birth date or a precise location, no public profile and no rankings. A parent can see and erase what the Pet remembers.
