Terms

Terms of use

Short, because MyEdora is early. These terms will grow as the product does; the current version always lives at this address.

What MyEdora is

MyEdora is a planning, activity and record-keeping tool for families learning at home. It is not a school, a curriculum authority, a licensed tutoring service or a health service. An activity marked done is a record of what happened, not a certificate of mastery; a publisher's alignment claim is not an official curriculum; educational coaching is not mental health care.

Accounts

Adults hold accounts. A child under 13 is a profile inside a parent's account and never an account of their own; a student aged 13 or over may hold an account only when a parent links it to the family. You are responsible for the people you invite and the access you give them, and you may revoke it at any time.

What you keep

Plans, records, observations, work samples and notes a family creates belong to the family. We hold them to run the service for you and for nothing else. Content from publishers and creators stays theirs, on the terms they set.

How the community is used

Community features are for adults coordinating learning. No public child profiles, no contacting a child you are not responsible for, no selling. We may remove content or access that breaks this.

Changes and cost

Helping a family is free: planning, the calendars, records, the guides, Edora, the Pet, inviting helpers, and finding and joining classes. There is no family subscription, no paid account feature and no ads. Later we may offer some optional premium storybooks and activities, shown to parents only and never on a child's screen, and we may charge for hosting a class. A class's price is set by whoever runs it, per session or per term; for now the family pays them directly, outside MyEdora, and paying for classes through MyEdora will be announced here first. Any price will be announced here first, with notice. We may change these terms; continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
