Privacy

A child's data is private by default.

These are the promises the product is built around. They describe what MyEdora does, not a claim of legal compliance; the review for each launch country is separate and ongoing.

In plain words

Your child is never public

  • No public profile, no rankings, no leaderboards.
  • A first name and a grade. Never a birth date or a precise location.
  • A link you share never shows your child.

You choose the adults

  • Each helper sees only what you allow, for the children you choose.
  • No adult can open a chat with your child.
  • A class teacher you decline never sees your child.
  • Anything a tutor writes about your child, you can read.

Your child's data stays yours

  • No ads, anywhere in MyEdora.
  • You can read what the Pet remembers, and erase any of it.
  • Nothing about your child is used to train anything.

We collect only what a family needs us to

A child is recorded by first name and an age or grade band, never an exact birth date, never a precise location, never an email account of their own. Adults sign in with an email address (or a Google account, which gives us that address and a name). Plans, records and notes exist because a parent chose to keep them.

Access is explicit, limited and revocable

A family's workspace is isolated from every other family. A helper, tutor or teacher sees only the children a parent invited them to, with the permissions in that invitation, for as long as the parent allows. Using a tutor's services or a publisher's content never gives them access to a child's records.

No public child profiles, no rankings, no open messaging

There are no public profiles for children, no leaderboards across families, no adult-to-child open messaging and no way to discover where a child is. Community features are coordinated by adults.

AI suggests; the parent decides; nothing trains on your family

Where MyEdora uses an AI provider, we say what is sent. Family data is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train models. A parent's own wellbeing notes are kept apart from a child's learning record and are never shown to anyone else.

You can see, export and delete

A parent can see what is stored, export it, and delete an account and its records. The AI Pet's memories of a child are the family's data: visible to the parent and erasable.
